Veteran Spanish goalkeeper Cesar Sanchez has sealed his exit from Tottenham Hotspur and headed home to join Valencia.
The 37-year-old has been released from the remaining months of his White Hart Lane contract and links up with Los Che until the end of the season.
Sanchez is content to be acting as a back-up player at the Mestalla, telling AS: "When the coach tells me to play, I will do so with the utmost desire in the world.
"I want Brito Renan and Vicente Guaita to see me as a friend, not as an opponent. I want to help them, that is my objective from day to day.
"If things turn out well and the club and I want to, it will not be difficult to arrive at an agreement, but that is in the background right now."
Sanchez had only joined Spurs last summer, making his one and only appearance as a substitute in the 4-2 Carling Cup fourth round win over Liverpool.
