Bilic: Modric is Europe's best

Croatia coach Slaven Bilic believes Tottenham Hotspur have bought 'the best player in Europe' in Luka Modric.
The 22-year-old playmaker has agreed to join the north London club in a £16.5million switch from Dinamo Zagreb after Euro 2008.
But after starring for Croatia in Thursday's 2-1 Group B victory over Germany which confirmed their qualification for the quarter-finals, Bilic hailed the rise of the diminutive attacking midfielder in an impressive team unit.
Modric had been linked with moves to some of Europe's leading clubs, including Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, after starring in Croatian football with Dinamo.
"Luka is a star even without this tournament," he enthused.
"I keep saying to him every day that he is the best player in Europe, but he is not the only great player on our team.
"We have world-class players and they prove it day in, day out at every training session, in every match and in every part of the pitch."
