Celtic boss Gordon Strachan is reportedly keen to make a transfer window swoop for
Spurs' out-of-favour right-back Stephen Kelly.
The 22-year-old Dublin-born star was tipped to be Stephen Carr's long-term successor at White Hart Lane when the defender signed for Newcastle United 15 months ago.
Kelly made 23 league and cup appearances last season, scoring one goal in the 1-1 draw at Birmingham back in April, and hoped to continue in boss Martin Jol's first-team plans again this season.
However, he has lost his place to Canada international Paul Stalteri this term and is unhappy at being the second choice right-back at the club again.
Strachan has noted his potential availability and is believed to be ready to make a £600,000 bid to take him to Parkhead in January.
