Berbatov eyes semi spot
19 Mar 2007 - 14:08:47
Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov is concerned that Martin Jol's side missed their chance to reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup when they allowed Chelsea to come back from two goals down at Stamford Bridge to force a replay.
The two teams meet again at White Hart Lane, but the in-form Bulgarian hit-man feels Spurs should already be in the last four after surging into a 3-1 lead in the first game.
"We were pleased with our performance but, to be honest, we should have won the game," said the 26-year-old who has scored seven goals in his last seven appearances.
"For the most part we were the better team, we made more chances and, if we had scored another one or two after the break then the game would have been over. We had some pretty good chances to do that.
"We have another chance now, but it will be difficult again because they are a good side and, although we play at home, they have very good players.
"We showed them that we are a good side who are getting better and it is our goal to win. They know it, they saw it and it will be a really exciting game."
