Berba edges closer to United

Striker Dimitar Berbatov has moved a step closer to joining Manchester United after being left out of the Tottenham Hotspur squad for Saturday's game against Sunderland.
The Bulgarian, who has been linked with a £20million move to Old Trafford throughout the summer, was a late omission from the 18-man squad named by coach Juande Ramos.
Ramos decided to take action after holding talks with the striker following his return from international duty on Friday.
The pair will now meet up on Sunday to discuss Berbatov's future at White Hart Lane.
However, the move would seem to suggest the former Bayer Leverkusen striker's days at the north London club are numbered.
"I have not selected him as I do not think that he is focused enough and I do not feel that he will be good for the dressing room and the team effort," Ramos told the club's official website.
"It doesn't matter how good a player is, if he is not in the right frame of mind, then he will not perform well.
"The only thing I concern myself with is picking the best team to try and win the game.
"I shall talk to the player tomorrow, he is our player and we shall work with him at training."
