Bentley keen to end nightmare

Reports suggest David Bentley is keen to end his Tottenham Hotspur nightmare and move to Wolves during the January transfer window. The 25-year-old is believed to have been involved in a heated exchange with boss Harry Redknapp, according to the Daily Mirror, and was not even on the substitute's bench for Saturday's game against Wolves at White Hart Lane. Bentley has endured a desperate time in north London since his £17million switch from Blackburn Rovers 18 months ago. He has found the net just three times in 42 appearances for the club and has started only one Premier League match - against his former side Arsenal - so far this season. Manchester City are also believed to be interested in signing Bentley, with Mark Hughes said to be keen in a player-plus-cash swap deal involving Martin Petrov.
