Bent launches Twitter rant

Tottenham Hotspur are set to investigate comments attributed to striker Darren Bent on his Twitter page.

The 25-year-old England international is thought to be close to sealing a transfer to Sunderland, but Bent is seemingly growing tired of delays in the deal.

His Twitter page contained comments reading: "Seriously getting peed off now. Why can't anything be simple? Sunderland are not the problem in the slightest.

"Do I wanna go Hull City? NO. Do I wanna go Stoke? NO. Do I wanna go Sunderland YES."

The comments then went on, in no uncertain terms, to urge Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to put the finishing touches to the deal to allow Bent to head to the Stadium of Light.

Bent moved to White Hart Lane for £16.5million from Charlton Athletic two years ago and he has since scored 25 goals in 79 appearances for Spurs.
