Tottenham's head coach Juande Ramos blamed Heurelho Gomes' error for Thursday's UEFA Cup defeat to Udinese.
Gomes failed to clear a back-pass and then fouled Fabio Quagliarella inside the penalty area with Antonio Di Natale scoring the resulting spot-kick to break the deadlock.
Spurs went on to lose 2-0 and had Jamie O'Hara dismissed as tei early season woes intensified.
Ramos said after the loss: "I'm very angry because I don't like to lose. We lost this match in this competition and now we have to win matches to qualify for the next stage.
"The situation is not very comfortable. At this moment (morale) in the dressing room is not in a normal situation but they know it's possible to win in football and it's possible to lose.
"In the first half we played okay but our goalkeeper made a mistake that turned the game totally in the wrong direction for us.
"If there was no mistake from Gomes, if we scored the first goal, things would have been different.
"Of course this type of mistake can always happen, this is part of football. I still have to support my players and defend them."
