Tottenham failed to prise highly-rated Ajax striker Luis Suarez in January, according to former boss Martin Jol. Jol, now in charge of the Dutch giants, confirmed Harry Redknapp is a huge admirer of the exciting Uruguayan star, who has attracted widespread interest from a host of top club across the Continent. The the 23-year-old South American ace rejected the chance to play at White Hart Lane during the last transfer window after he vowed to Jol he would stay at the Amsterdam club for at least another year.
