West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola could be forced into the transfer market after Luis Boa Morte suffered suspected knee ligament damage. The Portuguese winger went to hospital after being carried off early in West Ham's Barclays Asia Trophy 1-0 defeat to London rivals Tottenham following a challenge with Benoit Assou-Ekotto. And a scan later indicated that Boa Morte will be out until Christmas. He featured in more than 30 games for West Ham last season as they secured a ninth-place finish in the Premier League.
