Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has revealed that defenders Jonathan Woodgate and Michael Dawson are both in contention for Saturday's visit of Stoke City.

Woodgate has not made a single appearance for the north London club this term after being struck down by a groin injury during pre-season.

Dawson was a substitute during last weekend's 2-1 win at Portsmouth and continued his own comeback from injury with 90 minutes for the reserves in midweek.

"Jonathan came through the friendly okay and it was great to get a full game into him," revealed Redknapp.

"Michael Dawson also played 90 minutes in that match and both of them are ready to play."

Spurs continues to be without Giovani dos Santos (ankle) and Luka Modric (fractured fibula).

Meanwhile, Jermain Defoe will also be absent as the England striker begins a three-match suspension following his red card at Pompey.
