What Redknapp said is a lie says Fred's agent

Spurs are in the market for a forward, with Redknapp linked with Robbie Keane, Fred, Kenwyne Jones and Roque Santa Cruz in the January transfer window. [LNB]Bids for Jones and Keane have come to nothing and, according to Fred's agent, his client will also not be moving to White Hart Lane. [LNB]Redknapp claimed a scheduled meeting with Fred, which was due to take place before Tottenham's 3-1 win over Stoke on Tuesday night, did not materialise because the player failed to turn up. [LNB]Redknapp said: "I don't know what happened, the plan was for me to meet him and have a chat with him."[LNB]However, Fred's agent and brother, Rodrigo, has hit back, stating it was Redknapp who stood them up in France last weekend. [LNB]He told the Mirror: [LNB]"What Redknapp said is a lie, Fred never said he would come to a meeting. [LNB]"Redknapp said he would come to see us in France on Sunday but he did not come. [LNB]"Then everything changed, they suddenly wanted us to come to London on Monday. But here they would pressure him. [LNB]"He wanted to come to Tottenham but they let us down so he will not be joining them. It's as simple as that."[LNB]It leaves Brazilian club Palmeiras as the only party to have made a concrete bid for Fred, and Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas believes there is now only a one-in-two chance the striker will move on before the transfer window shuts. [LNB]"All I know is I haven't received a single offer concerning him, in any case from a European club," Aulas said. [LNB]"The only one has come from Palmeiras of Brazil, but Fred doesn't want to go there. [LNB]"Regarding Tottenham, we haven't talked. The last news is that there is a disagreement between Fred and the English club."[LNB]
