Wendel could wing his way to Spurs as Harry eyes Bordeaux's Brazilian

Tottenham Hotspur are tracking Bordeaux's £7.5million-rated Brazilian winger Wendel. Harry Redknapp is short of options down the left flank, a problem which has been highlighted since Croatia star Luka Modric broke his leg. Wendel, 27, has impressed this season for the French champions and is understood to have many admirers. The former Cruzeiro player was reportedly watched by scouts from Stuttgart and Roma during Bordeaux's 1-1 Champions League draw at Juventus. Napoli also tried to sign him in March, but Wendel instead signed an improved deal keeping him at Stade Chaban Delmas until 2012. He is settled at Bordeaux but would find a lucrative offer from the Barclays Premier League hard to turn down.
