Wag of the day: Sylvie van der Vaart

Sylvie van der Vaart, the wife of Tottenham and Dutch midfielder Rafael. She is a rare breed amongst WAGS, as someone who was actually famous before they met a multi millionaire footballer.

Having gained her fame in the Netherlands by working on TV channels like FoxKids and TMF. She began to host several events including the annual TMF music awards. After being elected the Netherlands sexiest female in 2003 she began a relationship with then Ajax player Rafael van der Vaart.

The two married in 2005 and her career as a TV personality hit new heights. Often described as the 'new Beckhams' she has since denied the claims saying she prefers a normal life.
