Trio sit out England training

Ledley King arrived with the England squad at London Colney but predictably rested his knee and did not train on Tuesday.King, 28, does not train with Tottenham between games due to a chronic knee injury and his club manager Harry Redknapp has expressed serious concerns about his skipper's international recall.Despite admitting he was unsure about his international future, King was drafted into Capello's squad to face Slovakia in a friendly on Saturday, then Ukraine in a World Cup qualifier the following Wednesday. If King played at Wembley against Ukraine, it would virtually guarantee that he would miss Spurs' game against Blackburn following the international break."Ledley hardly trains and has to be nursed through every week," Redknapp told The Sun. "I really can't see the sense in this."It's pointless. If he plays against Ukraine there is no way he can play on Saturday against Blackburn."Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips had a sore back and missed the session at Arsenal's training complex, while Portsmouth striker Peter Crouch had a tight calf and sat out. Neither complaints were considered serious.King was seen arriving with the squad before departing again, with Spurs medical staff working with him this week as well as Capello's backroom team.[LNB]
