Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is continuing his search for a star striker, with two names being heavily linked with a move to White Hart Lane.

According to caughtoffside.com, Spurs will make either a straight cash offer of £22 million or a part-exchange deal involving Robbie Keane, Niko Kranjcar and David Bentley for Newcastle forward Andy Carroll.

Another option for the North London club is prolific Ajax front-man Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan could cost around £17m according to the Daily Mirror.

Tottenham's local rivals Arsenal look unlikely to splash the cash in January but one player could be set for the exit door.

In-form Samir Nasri is attracting the attention of Barcelona with the Spanish giants considering a bid for the Frenchman if they fail in their attempts to sign Cesc Fabregas this summer (caughtoffside.com). Some sources even suggest that Pep Guardiola could launch a huge double bid for the pair.
