Tottenham's Tom Huddlestone fears departure in summer

Huddlestone has made just 10 Premier League starts this season and is becoming increasingly frustrated by a lack of first-team opportunities. The 22-year-old had hoped the arrival of Harry Redknapp would give him a new lease of life at Spurs. However, the form of Luka Modric and Didier Zokora has made it difficult to make an impression and a move could be on the cards come the end of the season. Huddlestone said: "I want to fight for my place but it's difficult to say what the future might hold. "Maybe the manager will bring in a few players this summer and he might have to get rid of a few players." Meanwhile, left-back Gareth Bale has been told by Redknapp to improve his defensive duties or risk being dropped. Bale, signed from Southampton in 2007 for an initial £5m, has found himself out of position during matches as his attacking instincts often get the better of him. He said: "My attacking instincts are the main part of my game but obviously I have to work on the defensive side too."
