Tottenham's Jonathan Woodgate recovering from surgery in Australia

The former Real Madrid defender, 30, underwent surgery yesterday in Australia, where he will remain for a further three weeks while the surgeon who operated on him monitors Woodgate's progress. [LNB]The operation came after specialists in America could not get to the bottom of the injury that has kept him out of action since November. He went to America and ended up in Australia. There were a couple of options and they feel they've got the right answer. [LNB]'The Australian people feel they've got the answer. He's got no chance of returning this season, so he'll spend the next three weeks recovering in Australia.'[LNB]Redknapp is without several players for tomorrow lunchtime's game against Blackburn. [LNB]Ledley King is still absent while Jermaine Jenas is recovering from a hernia operation. Tom Huddlestone, Aaron Lennon and Carlo Cudicini are also absent. [LNB]After the visit of Blackburn, Spurs go to Stoke then entertain Portsmouth before going to Sunderland in their pursuit of fourth place and a Champions League place. [LNB]'They are all tough games,' added Redknapp. 'Sam Allardyce has got Blackburn playing really well, Portsmouth won't be easy and two away games at Stoke and Sunderland they've got a lot of ex Tottenham players who will want to get one over us.
