Follow Sportsmail's coverage of the Champions League as Tottenham host Real Madrid at White Hart Lane for the second leg of their quarter-final. Harry Redknapp's side are up against it after losing 4-0 at the Bernabeu, but vow they are still in with a chance of progressing. Email me your thoughts on the game at dan.ripley@dailymail.co.uk[LNB] Tottenham 0-1 Real Madrid (7.45pm) Aggregate: 0-5Tottenham: Gomes, Corluka, Gallas,Dawson, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon (Defoe 61), Huddlestone (Sandro 71), Modric, Bale, Van der Vaart,Pavlyuchenko.Subs: Cudicini, Kaboul, Jenas, Bassong, Kranjcar..[LNB]Real Madrid: Casillas, Sergio Ramos (Granero 58), Carvalho, Albiol, Arbeloa, Alonso (Benzema 75),Khedira, Ronaldo (Kaka 65), Ozil, Marcelo, Adebayor.Subs: Adan, Garay, Higuain, Di Maria.[LNB]Goals: Ronaldo 50.[LNB]Referee: Nicola Rizzoli (Italy) [LNB]81min:[LNB]79min: Granero has picked up a booking for what looks like time wasting. he is playing it a bit safe isn't he.[LNB]78min: Some amusing stuff here. With this tie settled, we are seeing a few players take risks on the ball and it's making for some cracking exhibition stuff.[LNB]Assou-Ekotto especially showing a neat turn inside his own penalty box.[LNB]75min: Final change from Madrid with Karim Benzema on for Xabi Alonso.[LNB]74min: Credit to the Tottenham fans they are still giving it some.[LNB]No luck for their team though. Defoe's header from a corner coming off the legs of Casillas who did not know much about it.[LNB]71min: Huddlestone still trying to find his fitness is replaced by Sandro.[LNB]69min: This game has turned into a glorified friendly, but there is some good attacking play going on as both sides experiment.[LNB]Defoe and Pavlyuchenko are not exactly linking up well here though.[LNB]66min: An improvement (or sorts) for Gomes. Kaka's curling effort is goal bound into the bottom corner before Gomes gets a slight finger to turn it behind. He should have got a strong hand in truth.[LNB]65min: Second change for Madrid with Ronaldo replaced by Kaka.[LNB]63min: Tidy hit from Defoe, his 25 yard effort is heading for the bottom corner until Casillas pounces low to his left to tip it behind.[LNB]61min: First change for Spurs as Jermain Defoe comes on for Lennon.[LNB]60min: Image of the night. After Madrid scored, Casillas turned away looking a tad upset. I don't know, these keepers are all in it together.[LNB]58min: Close from Pavlyuchenko who just heads over from a Rafael Van der Vaart cross.[LNB]57min: First change and it's not Carlo Cudicini coming on for Spurs. It's Esteban Granero on for Ramos.[LNB]55min: And Spurs now need six by the way. Spurs fans in silence now, I think I would be after that.[LNB]53min: And just seconds before that, Thiago Motta bundled home an equaliser for Inter Milan from a corner. They are rising to my nine minute task.[LNB]52min: The only consolation for the keeper is in fairness it is not pivotal in terms of this tie, his Spurs career on the other hand...[LNB] One to add to the collection: Gomes fails to prevent his spillage from a Ronaldo shot from crossing the line[LNB]50min: GOAL! Tottenham 0-1 REAL MADRID[LNB]You have to laugh at this, there is just no other reaction possible. Ronaldo hits a speculative effort from 30 yards out that is straight at Gomes.[LNB]But the keeper lets it go through his fingers before diving in vain to try and claw the bobbling ball from crossing the line. That is up there with his biggest howlers and there has been a few![LNB]48min: Spurs continue to look for an opening but Madrid are in no mood for upsets. The home fans to their credit are still giving it their best.[LNB]Second-half: Away we go again.[LNB]20.47: Amusing little scene there. As Mourinho makes his way back to his seat, a a couple of young Spurs fan stand in awe and give him the thumbs up. Jose repays the compliment.[LNB]Can't think of any other opposition manager that would get that sort of respect.[LNB]20.45: But at least they have a chance. Inter have to score every nine minutes to stay in the competition.[LNB]20.40: So the Spurs mission has just got doubly hard. No breakthrough in the first 45 minutes. You fancy they will have to score before the hour mark to keep this one alive.[LNB]20.31: There has been one goal though. Raul slotting into an empty net just before half-time to put Schalke 1-0 up. Inter now need five goals.[LNB]It could be worse then Spurs fans.[LNB]Half-time: Tottenham 0-0 Real Madrid[LNB]45+1min: Nice play from Pavlyuchenko, as he hits a low shot from 25-yards-out that keeps Casillas honest as he dives low to keep it out. [LNB]45min: That's how desperate it has got for Tottenham. The Rory Delap tactic is in force! Bale chucking a long throw in the box but Madrid clear.[LNB]42min: Not much from Madrid since that bright opening, they look content to defend. Spurs the better side but are just falling short.[LNB]39min: Our first booking of the night after Ricardo Carvalho ploughs straight through Huddlestone, he will miss the semi-final (yes, Madrid will be in it).[LNB]38min: The ball is in the net for Spurs but it's ruled out for offside. Modric nods Pavlyuchenko's cross back for Bale to volley home but the Croatian is offside...just.[LNB]36min: Madrid win two successive corners, the first has Gomes flapping at thin air before his defence bails him out.[LNB]The second sees him claw Ramos's header away to safety.[LNB] In the mood: Pavlyuchenko (left) looked lively for Tottenham[LNB]33min: That looks nasty. Arbeloa and Sami Khedira have collided heads challenging for a ball and the latter is down in some pain. Mourinho looks furious with the lack of communication there.[LNB]31min: Nice idea but another attack goes begging. Bale's long throw finds Huddlestone at the near post. But the angle is against him and his swivel-shot goes into the side netting.[LNB]28min: That should be a a penalty. Pavlyuchenko manages to beat Arbeloa to to a Bale cross but the defender's outstretched leg brings the Russian down. It's not going to be Spurs' night.[LNB]27min: What a chance for Spurs, Aaron Lennon manages to to scamper down the box and does superbly to cut the ball back for Roman Pavlyuchenko. But the ball is bobbling and the Russian skies the effort over the bar.[LNB]24min: I thought the return of Tom Huddlestone was supposed to be a boost.[LNB]He is not with the pace of the game and his passing has been pretty useless in fairness.[LNB]21min: Ronaldo attacks from the flanks but after cutting inside flashes a shot wide of Gomes's near post. Not his best effort.[LNB]19min: Lucky boy Ramos. He leans in with his leg challenging Bale for an aerial ball and is lucky not to get booked. He is another struggling with the Welshman. [LNB]17min: Fairly low key start at the Lane in terms of chances. And it's no different in Germany. We must have used up our allotted goals allocation in the first leg.[LNB]14min: Decent chance to get the comeback going for Spurs as they win a free-kick 25 yards out.[LNB]Bale though cannons the effort straight at the wall.[LNB]12min: Alvaro Arbeloa looks a very worried man, Bale has him for pace and three times already tonight the Welshman has left him standing. Bale hasn't delivered a great cross yet though.[LNB] On the march: Tottenham's Bale (right) escapes the attention of Madrid's Ramos[LNB]9min: Madrid are looking a bit shaky at the back and Spurs are attacking with confidence with a very loud home crowd behind them.[LNB]But as Tottenham go forward they leave themselves open to the counter. This won't stay 0-0.[LNB]6min: Spurs getting back into this and it's Bale doing the creating, he skins Sergio Ramos on the wing before crossing low for Pavlyuchenko. Iker Casillas manages to get a punch clear to Luka Modric though who again elects to go down rather than shoot. As Ray Wilkins would say 'Stay on your feet!'[LNB]5min: Naughty Bale, he goes down in the box but he is already heading to the turf before Xabi Alonso cuts across him. He probably should have been booked for that.[LNB]3min: So who is 4-0 down? It's all Madrid. Mesut Ozil manages to march into the penalty box but his low shot is tame and easily stopped by Heurelho Gomes.[LNB]1min: Reckless from Benoit Assou-Ekotto, the first long ball to Cristiano Ronaldo and the full-back sticks an outstretched leg right into the back of the Portuguese forward. Has he learnt nothing from Peter Crouch last week?[LNB]Kick-off: Madrid get us going.[LNB]19.41: Out come the teams, Spurs fans as ever are packed into the ground, is this the last time they hear that famous music at this stadium?[LNB]They have not gave up on the Olympic Stadium yet.[LNB]19.38: Jose Mourinho pre-match:[LNB]'People are saying that Spurs will need to score four or five goals to win tonight. They will need more'[LNB]You have got to love him, we need him back in the Premier League![LNB]19.35: Mourinho is certainly not counting his chickens, naming a few players on a booking who would miss the semi-final if they pick up a yellow tonight.[LNB]19.31: So how can Spurs do this comeback? An early goal will be massive, if Spurs can score twice before half-time then suddenly it's on.[LNB]This isn't the Young Boys though, this is Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid. One bookies had Spurs as far out as 325/1 to win 5-0. Unfancied doesn't begin to describe it.[LNB] I'm here just in case...Former Madrid favourite Zinedine Zidane (left) with Xabi Alonso [LNB]19.28: It's actually a very chilly night in north London. Will the Spanish side be up for it...or am I just clutching at straws.[LNB]19.23: Some team news from tonight's other quarter-final:[LNB]Schalke 04 v Inter MilanSchalke 04: Neuer, Uchida, Metzelder, Howedes, Sarpei, Baumjohann, Matip, Papadopoulos, Jurado, Raul, Edu. Subs: Schober, Plestan, Hao, Schmitz, Charisteas, Karimi, Draxler.Inter Milan: Julio Cesar, Maicon, Ranocchia, Lucio, Nagatomo, Motta, Stankovic, Zanetti, Sneijder, Eto'o, Milito. Subs: Castellazzi, Cordoba, Kharja, Cambiasso, Materazzi, Pandev, Coutinho.Referee: Damir Skomina (Slovenia)[LNB]19.20: InfostradaLive pulling out a big stat yet again:[LNB]This is Mourinho's 500th match as coach. Debut in Dec 2000, 1-0 loss at Boavista with Benfica. Has won 17 trophies so far, including two Champions Leagues[LNB]19.18: Sportsmail's Matt Barlow on twitter:[LNB]Harry could put next 90 minutes to good use by trying to sign the Real Madrid bench:[LNB]19.17: Forgive me on national stereotypes, but looking at the referee we could have a stop-start game on our hands which will suit the visitors. First blood Madrid!...sort of.[LNB]19.16: Full line ups from White Hart Lane:[LNB]Tottenham v Real MadridTottenham: Gomes, Corluka, Gallas, Dawson, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Huddlestone, Modric, Bale, Van der Vaart, Pavlyuchenko. Subs: Cudicini, Kaboul, Jenas, Defoe, Bassong, Kranjcar, Sandro.Real Madrid: Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Carvalho, Albiol, Arbeloa, Alonso, Khedira, Ronaldo, Ozil, Marcelo, Adebayor. Subs: Adan, Kaka, Benzema, Granero, Garay, Higuain, Di Maria.Referee: Nicola Rizzoli (Italy)[LNB]19.13: Bale seems optimistic anyway, saying whatever Liverpool can do, Spurs can match.[LNB]He seems to be forgetting Real Madrid had Juande Ramos in charge that night, and you don't need to remind too many Spurs fans on where he can take a club...[LNB]19.10: After last week's drama, best call Lennon a 'provisional' starter. If he does come through the warm-up unscathed, he and Gareth Bale will be Spurs' most important players. They have to stretch the Madrid back four and give 'Super Pav' a fighting chance.[LNB] No pushovers: Spurs players Luka Modric (left) and Michael Dawson battle in training[LNB]19.07: Roman Pavlyuchenko up front on his own...can't remember the last time I saw that. He doesn't feature much in Harry Redknapp's plans these days but with 11 goals this season, he is Spurs joint-top scoring striker alongside Peter Crouch.[LNB]It's about time he got his chance but I think even tonight is going to be beyond the underrated Russian.[LNB]19.02: Aaron Lennon is given a chance to show Tottenham fans what they were missing in their thrashing by Real Madrid last week after being recalled for tonight's Champions League quarter-final second leg at White Hart Lane.[LNB]The winger, who pulled out of the 4-0 first-leg defeat just before kick-off due to illness, is one of three changes from the Bernabeu, with Roman Pavlyuchenko in for the suspended Peter Crouch and Tom Huddlestone starting in Europe for the first time in 2011.[LNB]Madrid boss Jose Mourinho gambles on four of his five players who are on yellow cards, with the visitors' only change from the first leg seeing Alvaro Arbeloa come in for Angel Di Maria.[LNB]18.58: Some pre-match reading for you from our London expert Leo Spall, who thinks Spurs should at least aim to go out with their heads held high.[LNB]18.55: There was another reason why I called this potentially the most pointless night in CL history.[LNB]Tonight's other quarter-final looks as good as over too, with Inter Milan needing to score at least four times away to Schalke, after losing 5-2 at the San Siro.[LNB]While I admit nobody expected the German side to score five in Italy, I challenge you to stick a tenner on Milan going through...not as easy as it sounds is it? Best keep that money tucked away for a rainy day.[LNB]Key updates will follow on that game.[LNB]18.50: The starting XIs:[LNB]Tottenham: Gomes; Corluka Gallas Dawson Assou-Ekotto; Lennon Huddlestone Modric Bale; Van der Vaart; Pavlyuchenko[LNB]Real Madrid: Casillas; Arbeloa, Sergio Ramos, Carvalho, Albiol; Alonso, Khedira; Ozil, Ronaldo, Marcelo; Adebayor.[LNB]18.45: The most pointless night in the history of the Champions League, or one of the greatest?[LNB]Real Madrid look to already have this tie and done and dusted after mauling Tottenham 4-0 in the first leg. But with the pressure off and a full house at White Hart Lane, can Spurs pull off one of the Champions League's greatest ever comebacks? Team news on the way.[LNB] Real-ly tough: Spurs were hammered 4-0 at the Bernabeu[LNB]  No Bale out at Spurs!
