Share PREMIER LEAGUE Tottenham 1 Blackpool 1 FT [LNB]FULL TIME: All over. Not just the game, but Tottenham's Champions League chase for the season. [LNB]A game packed with drama really sparked to life in the second half when Spurs conceded two penalties inside 60 seconds.[LNB]Incredible scenes as Michael Dawson then Heurelho Gomes gifted the Seasiders a brace of spot kicks. The first was saved, the second scored giving the visitors hope of taking all three points. [LNB]Jermain Defoe salvaged a point towards the end of the game for Spurs who go to Eastlands on Tuesday knowing Manchester City require just a point to take a place at Europe's top table next year. [LNB]Can you Adam and Eve it? The Blackpool captain wheels away after scoring [LNB]90+5min: Spurs huffing and puffing, nowt doing. Defoe's shot from the edge of the box is blocked. Urgent whistles ring down from the Blackpool fans. Not long now. [LNB]90+3min: The tension rises inexorably as the clock ticks down. The Spurs players and fans realise it's now or never, if they only muster a point, it's (all-but) curtains for their Champions League dreams.  [LNB]90+1min: Two changes: Danny Rose is replaced by Niko Kranjcar and James Beattie is on for Neal Eardley.[LNB]90min: We'll have SIX minutes added on! Is there another twist left in this game? [LNB]88min: GOAL! Tottenham 1 Blackpool 1 (Jermain Defoe)[LNB]From nothing, Defoe lashes a low drive past Gilks, fully 25 yards out. Game on! [LNB]84min: No dice for Spurs who have been completely rocked by that double-penalty nightmare. The result as it stands means Manchester City will need just a point to secure Champions League football next season. [LNB]If Spurs are beaten twice in a year by newly-promoted Blackpool, can they complain if they aren't playing in either of the Europe's competitions next year? Nope, no they can't. [LNB]80min: Now Lennon's booked for handball and there's some argy-bargy in the middle after Defoe's arm connects with a Blackpool defender as they leap for a high ball. Something of nothing and we move on. [LNB]79min: 60 seconds between the two penalties. Speechless.[LNB]78min: GOAL! Tottenham 0 Blackpool 1 (Charlie Adam)[LNB]No mistake this time, Adam crashes the penalty home and races towards the Blackpool fans. I've seen some sights but that little vignette in this match was truly remarkable. Worth noting Taylor-Fletcher went down very easily for the penalty, but what on earth was Gomes thinking?[LNB] On the charge: Lennon's pace on the wing has given Spurs a new dimension in the second half[LNB]77min: PENALTY! Un-be-liveable. Gomes a hero one minute then makes a complete mug of himself the next, haring after a loose ball in the box, he drags Taylor-Fletcher down. Adam will take it. [LNB]76min: SAVED! Super stop from Gomes, diving low to his left, sends the ball around the post. last week's clown is this week's hero![LNB]75min: PENALTY! Dawson handles the cross, a push in the back didn't help, but Blackpool have the chance to steal it. Charlie Adam stands over it![LNB]73min: DJ Campbell... must score! Saved! Good grief, that was the best chance of the game. Campbell, six yards out, shoots low but Gomes' left hand keeps the ball out. Corner. [LNB]70min: Spurs corner, played to edge of the box, Van der Vaart curls shot into Gilks's welcoming arms. Bah, don't think Spurs are going to score here. [LNB]67min: Another foul on a Spurs player, again it goes unpunished. Modric taps the ball past Baptiste who wraps two feet around the Croatian which brings him crashing to the floor. the ref awards a free-kick but no card. Poor stuff from Lee Probert. [LNB]65min: Peter Crouch is brought on to replace Gareth Bale. [LNB] Agony: Bale lies flat out and is unable to carry on after a late Blackpool captain Adam[LNB]62min: Naughty, naughty challenge from Charlie Adam, slamming a foot into Gareth Bale's ankle which bends on the right-angle under the pressure. The Welshman reels in pain and the fans looks on anxiously as a hospital trolley is wheeled out. Worryingly, splints are applied to his leg and he is taken off down the tunnel. [LNB]59min: Yep, another chance goes walkies for Tottenham. Lennon's dinked cross was met by Modric on the run, but the ball zoomed just over Gilks' crossbar. [LNB]56min: Two super chances, both go begging for Spurs. Bale's low drive from the edge of the box takes the faintest of touches which takes it past the post and Defoe shows some real ingenuity as he hooks a shot from over his shoulder a yard over the bar. [LNB]Spurs are asking all the questions, if they get one here, you fancy they'll get a few. [LNB]52min: Cripes, that's a super effort from David Vaughan. His thunderous drive from 25 yards out curls just wide of the base of Gomes' left-hand upright. [LNB]49min: Another golden opportunity for Spurs, this time its Bale who spoons over the bar after picking up the ball from Van der Vaart who had skipped down the wing to the touchline. There be goals in this game, I tells ya. [LNB] Midfield battle: Sandro steps in to break up play[LNB]48min: Chance. Lennon's makes an immediate impact, picking up the ball, deep in his own half, he skips past two challenges and then lofts a delightful ball into Van der Vaart who fails to control the ball and directs the ball high over the bar.  [LNB]SECOND HALF: Spurs change: Roman Pavlyuchenko off, Aaron Lennon is on and Blackpool hook Sergei Kornilenko for Jason Puncheon. And we're back off and running. [LNB]HALF TIME: Stalemate at half time in a game both teams are desperate to win. You would have thought Spurs, on hearing of Man City's defeat earlier in the day, would have come out all guns blazing. Not so.  [LNB]The hosts have been poor up front, lacking ideas and the ability to finish off any of the (many) chances offered to them by the midfield. I'll have more for you in a bit.[LNB]45min: We'll have two minutes added on... [LNB]41min: Kornilenko's late slide on Bale means the ref has to brandish his yellow card for the third time this afternoon. [LNB]40min: This is a good spell for Spurs. Bale links up with Rose on the left, the defender's low centre zoomed right into the heart of the danger area but Gilks palmed away from goal. The delivery is there, the hosts just need a forward to put the ball away. [LNB] Stalemate: Despite having the majority of possession, Spurs have struggled to find a way through the Blackpool defence[LNB]37min: Goal, disallowed as Defoe had just strayed offside, riding the shoulder of the last defender. A fine finish, mind, smashing the ball past Gilks but it doesn't count. [LNB]36min: Fine save! Blackpool are being made to wait for their chances but when they come, my they're good ones. Adam's 30-yard piledriver swerves away from Gomes who has to readjust his body position very late to keep the ball out. [LNB]34min: Gallas is booked for a late lunge on Adam. A rather poor challenge which is compounded by his insistence on arguing with the ref over it. [LNB]33min: A very decent chance for Spurs goes walkies. bale's tempting cross zips through the six-yard box but there's no one there to slide the ball home. Van der Vaart does his best to reach to ball, but to no avail. I know what Spurs should have done there, they should have bought a decent striker in January. Just saying, like. [LNB]Kiss from a Rose: Tottenham's defender rises above Taylor-Fletcher[LNB]30min: Halfhour gone and Tottenham are not playing like a side who believe they are still int he battle for a place in next season's Champions League. What is it? Are they going all guns to avoid a place in the Europa League? [LNB]26min: Its the Blackpool fans who are making all the noise at the moment. So fa a sleepy afternoon in north London. A rather dull occasion interspersed with the odd spark. Yawn. [LNB]24min: What a miss! Kornilenko, five yards out, heads the corner over the bar. Spurs really should be behind. [LNB]23min: Aftersoaking up the pressure, Blackpool have two stunning chances to take the lead. Charlie Adam's thunderous volley, eight yards out is saved spectacularly by Gomes. DJ Campbell is blocked six yards out by Dawson and the Seasiders win a corner. [LNB]21min: Eardley goes in the book for a cynical foul on Rose. [LNB]17min: Defoesquanders another chance: Bale's cross finds the striker in space but his first touch is poor, he stretches to reach it but Evatt blocks his drive.  [LNB]16min: Defoelooks to get away through the inside-right channel but Baptiste matcheshim  for pace. The England forward finds a yard and cuts a cross back but Evatt is there to clear. [LNB]15min: It'sall Spurs at the moment. Bale's low drive is tipped around the post by Gilks and Dawson was just millimeters away from connecting with Van der Vaart's cross, a chance he would surely have converted had he been able to reach it. [LNB]12min: Shoooooooot! Yep, Danny Rose has another touch of the ball.[LNB]Tangerine dream: Southern tangles with Sandro early in the game[LNB]10min: Blackpoolwin a free kick, 25 yards out, but slams the shot into the wall. Up t'other end, Rose skips away down the right wing but his cross was headed clear. [LNB]8min: Oooooh! An organic noise rolls down from the stands as Dawson intercepts Adam's pass and thumps a venomous drive from 30 yards out. The shot takes a deflection and flies just over. [LNB]6min: A rather timid start from the hosts, no real urgency in their play thus far. Modric is looking busy around the box, still waiting for the game to get going in all honesty.  [LNB]4min: No ironic cheers from the home fans as Gomes fields a pass back. Club officials have urged fans to avoid celebrating wildly when he performs the simplest of tasks. Not sure this what you would normally expect to ask of your fans. [LNB]KICK OFF: Spurs in white, attacking the Park Lane end of the ground get us off and running. [LNB] Best of friends! Redknapp and Holloway share a joke and an embrace before kick off[LNB]5.27pm: Players emerge onto the pitch, a rousing rendition of Glory, Glory Tottenham Hotspur belts out around the ground on this day, the 50th anniversary (+ one day) of the club's historic Double. [LNB]5.23pm: In recent weeks, Spurs have dropped points to West Ham, Wigan and West Brom. Now if Holloway could just change the club's name to Wlackpool for the afternoon, I'm sure they'd be guaranteed at least a point. And the Russian owner Valeri Belokon would like the change, too![LNB]5.20pm: Huuuuge cheers rings round White Hart Lane as the manchester City score is read out. you can't blame the spurs fans for being hopeful, but it looks very unlikely they'll be dining at Europe's top table next season. [LNB]5.17pm: Team news time: Danny Rose makes his first Tottenham appearance in just over a year. The 20-year-old comes in for Vedran Corluka and Redknapp also replaces Aaron Lennon with Jermain Defoe, who leads the line alongside Roman Pavlyuchenko.[LNB]Blackpool boss Ian Holloway keeps faith with out-of-sorts captain Charlie Adam in midfield while Sergey Kornilenko starts in place of Matt Phillips, who drops to the bench.[LNB]Tottenham v Blackpool - teams Tottenham: Gomes, Kaboul, Gallas, Dawson, Bale, Van der Vaart, Modric, Sandro, Rose, Pavlyuchenko, Defoe.Subs: Cudicini, Lennon, Jenas, Crouch, Bassong, Kranjcar, Corluka.[LNB]Blackpool: Gilks, Crainey, Eardley, Kornilenko, Evatt, Southern, Vaughan, Baptiste, Adam, Taylor-Fletcher, Campbell. Subs: Kingson, Ormerod, Cathcart, Phillips, Puncheon, Reid, Beattie.[LNB]Referee: Lee Probert[LNB]5.15pm: So, Manchester City have slipped up at Everton earlier this afternoon, is the door ajar once more for Tottenham's moribund chase for successive Champions League campaigns? [LNB]Evening everyone and welcome to Sportsmail's coverage of Tottenham v Blackpool from White Hart Lane. [LNB]Spurs have promised much this season but their league form has taken a real dip following that famous night at the San Siro. The club have tasted victory just once since beating AC Milan and hopes of establishing themselves as a force in Europe's elite competition have rapidly faded. [LNB]But now, there is a hope, just a slim one mind. A win today followed by victory at Eastlands on Tuesday would leave the north Londoners just a point behind Roberto Mancini's side. [LNB]Forget the ifs, buts and maybes, Spurs have to overcome a Blackpool side fighting for their survival. Ian Holloway's side took all three points from Harry Redknapp's team, earlier this season and Tottenham have hardly been in commanding form against struggling teams this term.
