The Sun are reporting that Tottenham expect to complete the signing of Roma and Italy striker Pablo Osvaldo at some point today.

Tottenham director Franco Baldidni originally signed the player during his time at Roma and is thought to be back in for the player once more. It is also believed that Baldini has been encouraged to sign the Osvaldo instead of Roma's highly rated Erik Lamela according to The Metro.Baldini originally contacted the Italian side regarding the availability of the young Argentine but has been warned off the player. Instead Roma chiefs made it clear that he wasn't available but Osvaldo could be a more viable option.

The signing could see the end of either Emmanuel Adebayor or Jermaine Defoe. Defoe is thought to have had dinner with West Ham boss Sam Allardyce according to The Daily Mail and it is believed either are available after the purchase of Roberto Soldado from Valencia.
