Tottenham strikers Robbie Keane and Peter Crouch see 'bigger picture' in squad rotation

Keane and fellow striker Peter Crouch have been competing for a place alongside Jermain Defoe in Tottenham's attack this season, with Keane usually the preferred choice. The pair could be united tomorrow if Defoe's hand injury sustained last Saturday against Burnley prevents him from facing Bolton. All three strikers have scored hat-tricks already, with Keane scoring four of Tottenham's five goals against Burnley. And Keane knows he will have to sit out some games as manager Harry Redknapp rotates his strike force. "It would be quite easy for players to sit down, mope and put their head down when they are left out," said Keane. "Crouchy must have been disappointed but he didn't show it. The way he was in the dressing room wishing all the lads well was fantastic to see. "As players, we all have to do that as well. The reality is that there will be games where you are left out, no question, and when you are left out, we still have to help each other if we want to progress this season. "As a squad, we have to see the bigger picture. Everyone who has been on the bench has played a massive part so far this season and that will only help us in the long run." Spurs will decide today whether to risk Defoe, who dislocated two fingers and suffered a fracture of his hand against Burnley.
