Tottenham seeking keeper cover

Harry Redknapp has confirmed he is trying to sign a goalkeeper on loan.

Redknapp revealed his interest in Croatia's Stipe Pletikosa earlier this week, having reportedly failed to land him last summer after the 31-year-old suffered a knee injury. It has been suggested a fresh move for the Spartak Moscow player could be scuppered due to the uncertainty over the future of the Russian club's manager, Valery Karpin.

On the prospect of another keeper arriving at White Hart Lane this summer, Redknapp told Sky Sports News: "That's a possibility, we're looking to take a loan there."

"I've got (Huerelho) Gomes and I've got Carlo (Cudicini), which is good, but the young lad David Button is going out on loan so I feel we need three keepers.

"Carlo is coming back from a bad accident so we don't want to leave ourselves short. We'll be looking to bring another keeper in to give us three goalkeepers."
