Tottenham have launched an investigation into a venomous verbal attack on chairman Daniel Levy which was allegedly made by Darren Bent on social networking site Twitter. The club were urgently trying to contact the striker after he appeared to lash out at Levy and Spurs for their handling of his proposed transfer to Sunderland. Bent has been waiting for the deal to be completed, having been told to get off Tottenham's flight to China on Monday. But the clubs are still haggling over the fee and Bent, under the username 'db10thetruth' appears to have used the social networking website to vent his frustration. 'Do I wanna go Hull City NO. Do I wanna go Stoke NO do I wanna go sunderland YES so stop f***ing around levy,' a post said. He also allegedly wrote: 'Seriously getting p***ed off now' and 'Why can't anything be simple. Its so frustrating hanging round doing jack s**t. Sunderland are not the problem in the slightest.' Bent's representative was unavailable for comment. Early on Friday morning, the account in Bent's name was removed from Twitter. Anyone logging in found a message saying 'This page does not exist'.
