Tottenham on alert as Sevilla line up Luis Fabiano replacement

Tottenham were on alert last night after it appeared Sevilla were lining up a replacement for prolific striker Luis Fabiano. [LNB]In demand: Spurs are keen on Fabiano [LNB]It had been thought that the Brazil international would see out the remaining year of his contract with the Spanish side after they rejected a £10.6m bid from Marseille, £4m below their asking price. [LNB]However sources close to the deal claimed last night that FC Twente striker Bryan Ruiz was on his way to Sevilla in a £12.3m deal, raising fresh hope about Fabiano's availabilty.
