Making a point: Pavlyuchenko wants to join City[LNB]Roman Pavlyuchenko has encouraged Birmingham City to make a new bid for him in the summer.[LNB]The unhappy Tottenham Hotspur striker would prefer to return to Russia, but admits that a switch to St Andrew's would be better than enduring any more heartache at White Hart Lane.[LNB]'If Birmingham are the only option, I would go there,' said Pavlyuchenko. 'I would go anywhere just to play. [LNB]'But a return to Russia is preferable for me. And the only club at home where both the coach and the president really wanted me this winter was Lokomotiv Moscow.'[LNB]Birmingham made a £10million move for Pavlyuchenko last month, but could not agree a deal before the European transfer window closed.[LNB]Lokomotiv, who can buy till mid-March, had a £10.5m offer rejected earlier this week when Harry Redknapp insisted Pavlyuchenko would not be sold before the end of the season.[LNB]The 28-year-old, criticised for his poor command of English, insists he has understands the language well, but is too scared to speak in his adopted tongue because he is not fluent.[LNB] Rare game: And a rare goal from the Russian in the FA Cup clash against Leeds[LNB]And he added: 'I'm fully accustomed and adapted to London, but it'simpossible to seperate domestic and football issues. When you're notplaying, no city is a joy.'[LNB]But even if he gets his wish and returns home, Pavlyuchenko will take with him a new habit.[LNB]'When I'm driving, it's natural for me now to give way to pedestrians,' he explained.[LNB]'WhenI go to Moscow, my friends are surprised to see my new driving style, but other drivers constantly honk when I stop. In England's it's theway of life to be generally civil.'[LNB] Tottenham need a goalscorer in midfield like Frank Lampard, says Spurs boss Harry Redknapp Roman Pavlyuchenko: Why won't Harry Redknapp let me leave when I never play for Tottenham HotspurSPURS FC
