Tottenham look to beat Chelsea to Hulk signing

The beast from Brazil could be on his way to London after a miserable first season with Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg.

Spurs boss, Andre Villas-Boas, is tipped for a reunion with Hulk at White Hart Lane, having enjoyed a good relationship with him at Porto.

And Hulk has admitted that if there was nothing in the speculation then he’d be lying.

He said: "At the moment, I am 100% focused on the Selecao [Brazil] and I hope to be a Confederations Cup winner with my country. It is a matter of great pride for me to be playing in the yellow jersey, so near to my family.

"Other matters will have to wait until afterwards."

I think if it came to it, Hulk would choose the club that would guarantee Champions League football.

Spurs have come on leaps and bounds in the past few seasons, with Gareth Bale acting as their inspiration in the goals department.

However, football at the highest level, an array of talent to work with and notably a huge salary is available for Hulk at Stamford Bridge.

And with the reappointment of ‘The Special One’ – exciting times are sure to lie ahead.
