The whole affair is now threatening to boil over, with Sunderland boss Ricky Sbragia accusing Redknapp of unsettling his player while the Spurs boss is unhappy that Darren Bent has been linked with a move to Wearside. Sbragia is determined to keep Jones and will play him in attack at Fulham tonight but Redknapp will make one more effort to secure a deal before the transfer window closes next Monday at 5pm. If the final offer for Jones is rejected, Redknapp is likely to turn to Lyon's Brazilian striker Fred, but has also refused to rule out a return to Spurs for out-offavour Liverpool striker Robbie Keane. He said: "As a player and a person I have a lot of time for Robbie. I think he's fantastic. I wouldn't say I wouldn't like to have him, I'd be a liar but he belongs to Liverpool so it is not an option." Ready: Carlo Cudicini Sbragia attacked Spurs yesterday for their "methods" in pursuing Jones but the clubs' relationship was good enough to allow Pascal Chimbonda to return to Spurs just five months after leaving for Wearside in a£3m deal. Although he is not part of Spurs's latest offer, Redknapp is still willing to sell Bent. Redknapp added: "I just thought that when Jones became available and they wanted Darren Bent, it might have been an interesting deal." Keeper Carlo Cudicini should make his Spurs debut against Stoke tonight after signing from Chelsea, but Wilson Palacios and Chimbonda are ineligible.
