Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp could hand Aaron Lennon his first start of 2010 in the Barclays Premier League clash with Bolton at White Hart Lane.
Lennon, who has been troubled by a groin injury since December, has trained all week having suffered no repercussions from his substitute appearance against Manchester United last week.
Ledley King could feature in defence but Vedran Corluka (ankle), Jonathan Woodgate (groin) and Carlo Cudicini (wrist) are all out.
With rivals Aston Villa and City facing each other at Eastlands, Spurs could find themselves two points clear of the chasing pack for the Champions League on Saturday night.
Spurs travel to Eastlands on Wednesday in what has been billed as the decider for the fourth Champions League place.
Redknapp insists that he is not looking past Saturday's game though, which he predicts will be a tough encounter.
"It's no good looking to the Manchester City match next week, tomorrow (Saturday) is the key," said the former Portsmouth boss.
"If we don't win, the Man City match maybe won't matter so much. If Villa win at City, that puts them in a strong position, then City would be struggling. It's what happens tomorrow that's important.
"Then we'll look at results and see what we need from there. Until after Bolton, nobody can be sure.
"We know it will be a difficult game. Owen Coyle has done a great job at Bolton.
"He's pulled them out from a relegation struggle and it will be a tough game. We won't underestimate them, they'll give it everything."
Stuart Holden could make his return to action for Bolton.
Holden has been out for two months after fracturing his fibula while on international duty with the United States, but targeted the trip to White Hart Lane for his comeback and having taken part in training this week, will undergo a late fitness test.
Ricardo Gardner remains a doubt with a leg injury, as do Andy O'Brien and Chris Basham as they continue their recovery from thigh and knee problems respectively.
Wanderers boss Owen Coyle will definitely be without long-term absentees Gavin McCann, Joey O'Brien and Sean Davis.
Ahead of the game Coyle has warned his players not to lose their focus for the final two games of the season now they are safe from the threat of relegation.
Wanderers' Premier League status was secured for another year last weekend, although only once Burnley had been beaten by Liverpool on Sunday.
A day earlier, Coyle's side had missed the chance to do the job for themselves after throwing away a two-goal lead at home against already-relegated Portsmouth in a match which finished 2-2.
After taking a 2-0 lead into the break Bolton appeared to switch off and their manager knows they could be punished even more heavily should their concentration waver again at Tottenham tomorrow.
Spurs, currently fourth and looking to seal a Champions League berth, have been on a hot streak of late at White Hart Lane, where they have secured impressive wins over Arsenal and Chelsea in recent weeks and beat Wanderers 4-0 in an FA Cup fifth-round replay in February.
Bolton now have comparatively little to play for, but Coyle is expecting a competitive performance from his players, both in tomorrow's game and when Birmingham visit the Reebok Stadium on the final day of the campaign.
"If they are not focused on Saturday, they will be in for a long afternoon because Tottenham are a quality side," Coyle said.
"They are a side that is going for that Champions League slot and they have shown that, particularly at home, with the form they have been in.
"You only need to look back at their last two home games - the victories over Arsenal and Chelsea - to see what a tough afternoon you could be in for, so we will make sure we are focused and looking to do our very best.
"We want to finish as high up the league as possible because of the prestige it involves and the financial implications, so our goal will be to get as many points from our two remaining games against Tottenham and Birmingham as we can."
