Tottenham Hotspur likely to release Roman Pavlyuchenko and sign Sulley Muntari

Oleg Artemov, Pavlyuchenko's agent, has claimed that he expects to reopen negotiations over the striker's proposed moved to Zenit St Petersburg in Jan. [LNB]Real Madrid were prepared to sign the Russian in the summer window but Daniel Levy, the Spurs chairman, rejected their approach. [LNB]Spurs paid Spartak Moscow £13.8 million for Pavlyuchenko in the summer of 2008 but Artemov claims there is little point in holding further talks with Spurs at present, saying: "Doing that would be useless. We had a conversation with Harry Redknapp in August. We'll talk more, later, closer to the winter transfer window."[LNB] Zenit remain keen and Artemov added: "Pavlyuchenko does not intend to sit on the bench. We are aware of Zenit's interest. They wanted to sign Roman in summer. I think we'll come back to negotiations about this possibility in the winter. [LNB]"Maybe we'll change the country. There are several clubs, in which Roman is interested."[LNB]Pavlyuchenko is in Moscow with the Russia squad to face Germany and he has already been warned his lack of match practice may mean he is left out for the crunch World Cup qualifier. [LNB]But one man Redknapp is interested in is Sulley Muntari, who the manager signed for Portsmouth.
