Tottenham defender Ledley King arrested following allegations of assault

The Tottenham captain is reportedly being questioned over an alleged assault on another man in Soho. [LNB]The victim is understood to have refused medical treatment following the alleged incident outside Punk nightclub in Soho Street. [LNB]The venue, formerly known as Nightclub Pop, attracts a VIP crowd with guests including Kate Moss and Lily Allen and offers table bookings with a minimum spend of £500, according to its website. [LNB]A statement from Tottenham read: "The club is aware of an incident involving Ledley King in the early hours of Sunday morning. [LNB]"We await details and information and it would be inappropriate to make any further comment at this time." [LNB]King, 28, who joined Tottenham in 1998, played in their Premier League game at the weekend which saw his side draw 0-0 against Everton. [LNB]Since his arrival at White Hart Lane he has made over 250 appearances for the club and scored 12 goals. [LNB]The defender also has 19 England caps and was a member of England's Euro 2004 squad. [LNB]
