Harry Redknapp feels it will be a "miracle" if Michael Dawson plays again this season after the Tottenham defender suffered serious ankle and knee injuries during the 3-1 win over Stevenage.
Tottenham progressed to the last eight of the FA Cup with the replay win, but the victory was marred by the injuries to Dawson, who had to be carried off on a stretcher after falling awkwardly following an aerial challenge with defender Chris Beardsley.
Tottenham boss Redknapp said: "Michael has gone to hospital. It was his ankle and his knee. He has a pretty bad injury there. Looking at his injury it would be a miracle to think he is not (out for the season)."
"It's a big loss, he is a big professional. You want him around your team, that's for sure."
Dawson missed five months of action earlier this season with an ankle problem.
