Earning his Spurs: David James[LNB]Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is set to make one last attempt to sign England goalkeeper David James.[LNB]Portsmouth are ready to offload the veteran shot stopper in a bid to ease their crippling financial difficulties.[LNB]James was on the verge of joining Stoke on loan last week but the deal fell through over Pompey's demands for more money from the deal.[LNB]Redknapp is a massive fan of James and tried - and failed - to sign the keeper in the summer.[LNB]But according to the Daily Mirror, Redknapp is keen to make one last attempt to take James to White Hart Lane.[LNB]Spurs boss Redknapp is happy with the form of Brazilian Heurelho Gomes - but James is confident he can dislodge the current No 1 should his deal to north London materialise.
