Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp insists his side can progress in the Champions League even though he is likely to be without a number of key players.  [LNB] Redknapp received a shot in the arm ahead of the second leg match against Young Boys with a 2-1 victory at Stoke, thanks to a brace from Gareth Bale.[LNB]Tottenham are looking to overturn a one-goal deficit in Europe when the Swiss side visit White Hart Lane on Wednesday.   [LNB] Out of Bale: Injury-hit Spurs beat Stoke thanks to Gareth's double[LNB]But Redknapp could be without Luka Modric (groin), Giovani dos Santos (hamstring), Roman Pavlyuchenko (ankle) and Robbie Keane (knee) as they are all having treatment. They sat out yesterday's win after being troubled by the artificial surface in Switzerland.  Jermain Defoe also suffered a groin problem in that game but could be fit for the return match. [LNB]Without a number of his squad a tough game at Stoke looked even tougher on paper for Redknapp but the players who stepped up rose to the challenge. [LNB]Tottenham go into the match against Young Boys trailing 3-2 but Redknapp said: 'The lads who came in did well. That will give us confidence for the next game. We have got a big chance as we have come back from the dead.'[LNB]Ledley King is due to return at the back after being rested against Stoke as Redknapp did not want to risk him in what was always going to be a physical game.   [LNB] Lifeline: Pavlyuchenko's strike means Spurs were just one goal adrift in Berne[LNB]Former Arsenal defender William Gallas is also due to arrive after signing a short-term deal. 'I think everything is okay with him, ' said Redknapp. 'He is probably as fit as a fiddle. I am sure he will be a big asset to us.'[LNB]Bale made the breakthrough in the 20th minute when he fortuitously headed home after Ryan Shawcross' clearance rebounded off him. Ricardo Fuller pulled Stoke level five minutes later after poor defending by Younes Kaboul. However Bale grabbed the winner in the 30th minute with a spectacular volley into the top corner.   [LNB]Stoke were denied an equaliser in the dying embers of the game when a close-range shot from Jon Walters on his debut appeared to go over the line. [LNB]Walters, who arrived from Ipswich in midweek, was first to react after Heurelho Gomes blocked a far-post header from Shawcross. However referee Chris Foy allowed play to continue and according to Redknapp, Gomes was obstructed in the build-up.   [LNB] Injury doubts: Robbie Keane (left) and Luka Modric (right) could miss the return[LNB]Redknapp said: 'It was a foul on the goalkeeper, a blatant foul by Robert Huth. He has pushed him with two hands.  [LNB]'I saw it on the replay and that is what Gomes told me in the dressing room. I didn't see it when it happened.'[LNB]It was Stoke's second successive defeat and manager Tony Pulis does not have his troubles to seek. [LNB]Mamady Sidibe could miss the rest of the season after snapping his Achilles after coming off the bench. The striker's cruel blow came a week on from £8million buy Kenwyne Jones being injured on his debut and missing the defeat by Spurs, although he could be back next week.   [LNB]Pulis is anxious to bolster his ranks before the window closes. He said: 'We are still searching high and low to bring in other players before the end of the deadline.  [LNB]'They need to have not only the character to improve us but also have the mentality to join and be part of the group' [LNB] Tottenham confirm William Gallas signing as ex-Arsenal captain joins on one-year dealStephane Sessegnon keen on England move as Tottenham and West Ham eye PSG playmakerKeane between rock and a Spurs place as injured striker misses Stoke winStoke 1 Tottenham 2: Redknapp has to relay on Bale-out for first win[LNB]
