Jenas injured his calf in Tottenham's final pre-season friendly against Olympiacos, but finally returned, as a half-time substitute for Wilson Palacios at White Hart Lane. "When you've been on the sidelines for so long it gets you down, you see the lads out there and you just want to be part of it," said Jenas. "I've only trained so to go into a match situation and come through unscathed is ideal." Jenas claimed his teammates looked weary after such a good start to the season, adding: 'A lot of the lads had been away on international duty and we just didn't have that spark we needed in the last 20 minutes.' Jenas could be joined at Stamford Bridge by goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes. The Brazilian goalkeeper injured a thigh muscle at Hull in only the second game of the season, and has missed the last four. But he returned on Saturday on the bench and is set to replace for Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini when Spurs cross London to face the Premier League leaders.
