Tottenham 4 Peterborough 0: Fry tried to flog me hero Lewis, says Harry

The next time Fabio Capello curses a Robert Green clanger, fumes at a Ben Foster fumble or considers getting the placenta doctor to pay a visit to David James, he should spend an afternoon watching Peterborough.[LNB]Because for all Tottenham's dominance over their Championship opponents, visiting keeper Joe Lewis prevented the score from resembling something you might expect at Twickenham.[LNB] Way to go, Joe: Peterborough keeper Joe Lewis pulls off another stunning save and is then congratulated by Spurs striker Jermain Defoe (below)[LNB]The 22-year-old pulled off a string of superb saves, some of them world class, as Spurs peppered his goal from start to finish. No wonder some of the Premier League's biggest clubs are lining up to sign him.[LNB]'He did well,' said Spurs manager Harry Redknapp. 'I've seen him a few times. Barry Fry (the Peterborough director of football) came in after the game and said 'Arsenal want him, Liverpool want him, Man United want him, but if you want him I'll give you first opportunity'.[LNB]'He came into the dressing room after we'd only just finished the game and he was trying to flog him!'[LNB]Lewis caught Capello's eye once before when he was an unused substitute for matches against Trinidad & Tobago and the USA in 2008, but has disappeared off the radar since and admits he might have to join one his many suitors to progress - even if that doesn't mean regular first-team football.[LNB]Spurs fans made their desire to see him at the club clear enough in the first half, chanting 'Tottenham's No 2' after three excellent saves in two minutes.[LNB]'It was pleasing to hear,' admitted the former Norwich keeper. 'When you are playing well it's nice to know that the people watching are recognising that.[LNB]'I must admit, though, you don't often hear opposing fans singing your praises. I've just got to keep playing well and whatever happens happens. Every footballer wants to play in the Premier League - it's the place to be - and I'm no different.[LNB]'If a Premier League club came in, it would be a difficult one to turn down but, on the other hand, you want to be playing week in, week out. It would be a decision I'd have to make if it came along.'[LNB] Ideal start: Niko Kranjcar curls home the first of Tottenham's four goals[LNB]For all his heroics, Lewis could not keep a very fluid Tottenham out. First, the excellent Niko Kranjcar bent a sublime shot past him from the edge of the box after 34 minutes and the Croat netted his second 11 minutes after the break, turning in a cross from the impressive Gareth Bale.[LNB]Bale set up Jermain Defoe for an equally easy tap-in with just over 20 minutes to go and Robbie Keane compounded the misery for Mark Cooper's team with a 95th-minute penalty after substitute Danny Rose was brought down.[LNB]It was a case of banana skin avoided for Redknapp's Champions League chasers, with the sight of Posh substitute Shaun Batt being sick on the pitch in the dying stages the only reminder that the FA Cup can still throw up the odd surprise.[LNB]Peterborough manager Cooper, meanwhile, was more intent on buying reinforcements to try to claw his bottom-of-the table team away from the relegation zone.[LNB]'There will be two or three coming in,' he said. 'We will strengthen.'[LNB]TOTTENHAM (4-4-2): Gomes 7; Hutton 6, Dawson 8, Bassong 7, Bale 8 (Naughton 78min); Modric 7, Huddlestone 6, Palacios 7, Kranjcar 8 (Rose 72, 7); Defoe 6(Pavlyuchenko 73, 5), Keane 6.
