Tottenahm Rafael van der Vaart expects Harry Redknapp to get over substitution

Rafael van der Vaart has spoken of his growing frustration at beingregularly substituted by his Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp.[LNB]Sub-dued: Van der Vaart felt he deserved to stay on the pitch against West Ham[LNB]The Holland midfielder has completed just eight of his 26 starts for Spurs since joining from Real Madrid in the summer. [LNB]Last Saturday he was replaced 72 minutes into the goalless draw at home to West Ham. [LNB]And instead of returning to the dug-out to watch the rest of the game, the 28-year-old stormed straight down the tunnel. [LNB]Now Van der Vaart, preparing for Holland's Euro 2012 double-header against Hungary, has put himself on a collision course with Redknapp by querying the decision to substitute him.[LNB]'I played well and did not find the substitution necessary,' he said. [LNB]'Often I like to play 90 minutes, but at Spurs that hardly ever happens. I read that Harry Redknapp wanted to talk with me, but I did not see him before I left for Holland. I won't be back for 10 days by then a lot of it will have blown over.'[LNB]Meanwhile, Tottenham midfielder Steven Pienaar, who is set to play for South Africa against Egypt on Saturday, may need surgery to clear up a long-standing groin injury. [LNB]He said: 'I picked it up a month ago.
