Tom Huddlestone agrees new five-year contract at Tottenham

Huddlestone has been outstanding in the centre of Spurs' midfield this season and though he missed Saturday's 3-1 win over Blackburn, he has been instrumental in helping Tottenham gate-crash the 'big four'. [LNB]His performances caught the eye of England manager Fabio Capello, who handed him his senior international debut against Brazil in November, the former Derby player coming on in the 81st minute. That should be extended after he agreed a contract that will keep him at White Hart Lane until 2015. He was warned by manager Harry Redknapp that he had to fight to regain his place and he has responded by securing a regularly starting spot, though he may be missing for at least another week after injuring his ankle against Everton last month.
