The price must be right for Bentley and Pavlyuchenko, insists Redknapp

Tottenham pair David Bentley and Roman Pavlyuchenko will not be granted their wish to leave White Hart Lane unless the club receives adequate offers, boss Harry Redknapp has insisted.[LNB]Redknapp has confirmed the pair, who were both left out of the matchday squad to face Wolves at the weekend after lacking effort in the previous week, want a fresh start when the January transfer window opens.[LNB]Chairman Daniel Levy has a reputation of wanting to recoup or make profit on his signings, with Bentley and Pavlyuchenko costing him almost £30million between them when signed at the start of last season.[LNB] On the way out? Bentley (left) and Pavlyuchenko (right) have failed to live up to their respective price-tags since joining Spurs 2008[LNB]'David would like to move, there is no doubt about that,' Redknapp said. 'He feels he needs to move on and play. Obviously Pav wants to move but we are not mad to sell them. They are not going cheap and are both good players.[LNB]'It is up to the chairman and whether he gets the money and it is the right offer. I would not let them go cheaper. Otherwise you end up giving them all away.[LNB]'I won't let my emotions get in the way of the fee we get for Pav and Bentley.'[LNB]Levy has spoken to a Russian club about the possibility of Pavlyuchenko returning after an unhappy spell following his move from Spartak Moscow.[LNB]'There is a chance Pav will go because he feels he wants to move back home,' Redknapp said. [LNB]Despite being left out at the weekend, both could feature against Manchester City in the Barclays Premier League clash at White Hart Lane, although it is likely to be off the bench if at all. [LNB] Happy times: The pair, above with Benoit Assou-Ekotto (centre), celebrate during the Carling Cup in 2008[LNB]Redknapp has seen an improvement in attitude from Bentley this week, although he added: 'It is not right that he had a bad week. He should come in and work hard and train hard every day.[LNB]'But it is not easy when you don't see any light at the end of the tunnel sometimes. I think that is how he is feeling. But I have had a chat with him and he realises he cannot do that.[LNB]'They have both got a chance against City. They have trained well this week and I have had a chat with both of them. They have been much better.'[LNB]Both Spurs and City have aspirations of breaking into the Champions League places, and Redknapp's hopes would be boosted if he knew when Ledley King or Jonathan Woodgate will be returning to action.[LNB] Welcome return: Luka Modric (second left) prepares to make his return to action following a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a broken leg[LNB]King has had fluid drained off his knee, while Woodgate has had an injection in his groin but neither have a comeback date set.[LNB]Jermaine Jenas, meanwhile, is back in training after food poisoning but has lost a lot of weight. Luka Modric is likely to be on the bench again after making his comeback in the Wolves defeat from a fractured fibula.[LNB]'He couldn't train on Monday, he was so sore - his groins, hamstrings, everything,' Redknapp said. 'He hasn't played so to suddenly get half an hour into him was hard.[LNB]'As hard as he has trained with the fitness coaches every day, there is nothing like playing games and the game certainly took a big toll on him on Saturday.'[LNB] MARTIN SAMUEL: Will Spurs be left at the altar again?Charles Sale: Multi-millionaire Ross playing ball with 2012 legacyInexperienced Tottenham are no threat to the big boys, says Harry RedknappALL THE LATEST TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR FC
