Niko Kranjcar has vowed to lead Tottenham to a top four finish to reward boss Harry Redknapp for rescuing him from crisis club Portsmouth. Kranjcar became the latest Pompey player to follow Redknapp to White Hart Lane by completing a £3million deadline day switch. Croatian midfielder Kranjcar, 25, said: 'I am really excited about joining Tottenham. They have made a fantastic start to the season and have got some quality players at the club. Niko Kranjcar Excited: Niko Kranjcar 'I think everyone at Tottenham believes they have enough quality to challenge the top four, which is where I want to be playing. 'Everyone is keeping their cool and taking it game by game but there is a lot of quality in the squad. 'I am good friends with Luka Modric and Vedran Corluka and they have told me there is a great spirit and belief throughout the team. 'I played with Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch at Portsmouth and I know how good they are.' Kranjcar was part of the Portsmouth team Redknapp guided to FA Cup glory in 2008 after being signed by the Spurs boss from Hadjuk Split for £3.75m in 2006. He added: 'I had a great time with Harry at Portsmouth and we achieved some special things. It is great to get the opportunity to work with him again. 'Once Portsmouth decided to sell me there was only one manager I wanted to work with. 'I will always be grateful to Portsmouth because they gave me my first opportunity in the Premier League but this is an opportunity for me to prove myself at a big club.'
