Coulibaly fled the Ivory Coast to avoid conflict there as a 13 year old, and moved to Italy. He played for Siena’s youth teams but it was at the FIFA under 17 World Cup that his potential came to the fore as he finished as the top scorer in the tournament in Mexico. Has since shone similarly brightly for Tottenham at youth level, another player to have benefited from participation in the Next Gen series, where he scored twice last year in a game against eventual champions Inter Milan.
