Sunderland target West Ham's Frederic Piquionne as Ricardo Fuller prices himself out of move

Sunderland are considering a move for West Ham striker Frederic Piquionne as they struggle to strike deals for Stoke's Ricardo Fuller and Tottenham's Roman Pavlyuchenko. [LNB]Manager Steve Bruce looked to have a £3million deal in place for Fuller on Friday, but that has not been finalised with the 31-year-old understood to be looking for about £60,000 a week. [LNB]He failed a medical at Stoke but was still wanted by Everton, West Bromwich and Sunderland. Sulley Muntari, 26, expects to be a Sunderland player within the next 24 hours.
