Sunderland 1 Tottenham 2: Niko Kranjcar's cracker puts Spurs level with Chelsea

12 February 2011 07:40
Another rocket from Niko Kranjcar capped a spirited Tottenham fightback and put Harry Redknapp's men level on points with fourth-placed Chelsea in the race for a Champions League place.

Kranjcar, who scored an injury-time winner against Bolton seven days earlier, thumped a right-foot volley into the bottom corner to earn a vital victory.

Record signing Asamoah Gyan had put the home side in front with a fine turn and shot but Michael Dawson just before half-time with a header.

More to follow.
