Stoke sign Jermaine Pennant, Eidur Gudjohnsen, Salif Diao and Marc Wilson

StokeCity clinched the signing of striker Eidur Gudjohnsen - and confirmed a shock move for winger Jermaine Pennant just moments before the transfer window closed.[LNB]The club also signed midfielder Marc Wilson from Portsmouth in a deal that saw Liam Lawrence and Dave Kitson go to Fratton Park.[LNB]And Tony Pulis re-signed Salif Diao, whose contract ran out at the end of last season. [LNB]Out of the blue: Pennant has left Zaragoza for a return to England with Stoke[LNB]Former Chelsea, Barcelona and Tottenham striker Gudjohnsen turned down Fulham to join Stoke on a season-long loan from Monaco.[LNB]Pennant, the 27-year-old former Arsenal, Liverpool and Birmingham midfielder, has returned from Real Zaragoza on a season loan.[LNB]On his way again: Monaco's Eidur Gudjohnsen is expected to line up at Stoke[LNB][LNB]Diao, In addition to his new contract, will alsotake on an ambassadorial role for the club in Africa and other parts ofthe world.[LNB]Return: Salif Diao has resigned for Stoke City[LNB]'It's great to be back home.
