Stoke fear striker Mamady Sidibe could miss season after snapping Achilles against Spurs

Stoke striker Mamady Sidibe suffered a crushing injury blow as it was revealed tonight he could miss the rest of the season.   [LNB]The 30-year-old Malian was carried off towards the end of Stoke's 2-1 defeat to Tottenham at the Britannia Stadium.   [LNB] Agony: Mamady Sidibe is carried off the pitch[LNB]Stoke manager Tony Pulis has been advised Sidibe has suffered a serious Achilles injury, and the recovery time is likely to count him out for the remainder of the campaign.  [LNB] Pulis told www.stokecityfc.com: "It's a cruel blow for Mama because it appears he has snapped his Achilles.  [LNB] "The medical staff have told me that it doesn't look good for him, although we will have to wait for confirmation from the scan that he will have on the injury.   [LNB]"If that is the damage though, he will be lucky to play again this season, and that's a big setback for us."
