Spurs wait on qualifying opponents

Tottenham will be seeded for Friday's draw for the final qualifying round of the Champions League but they could still face tough opposition.[LNB] Spurs have five possible unseeded opponents in the draw: Sampdoria, Dynamo Kiev, Auxerre, Braga or Swiss side Young Boys.[LNB]Sampdoria, who finished fourth in Italy's Serie A last season, and Ukrainian league runners-up Dynamo Kiev would appear to be the most challenging of Tottenham's possible opponents.[LNB]Samp have a new coach in Domenico Di Carlo, who won many plaudits during the last two years in charge of Chievo, and players of renown such as former Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano. Former Spurs defender Reto Ziegler is also a first-team regular.[LNB]Dynamo played in the Champions League group stages last season in the same quartet as Barcelona and eventual champions Inter Milan, against whom they secured a 2-2 draw in the San Siro.[LNB]Braga, runners-up in the Portuguese Liga, saw off Celtic in the previous qualifying round 4-2 on aggregate, despite losing at Celtic Park.[LNB]Auxerre, who finished third in the French league last season, have wily coach Jean Fernandez in charge while Young Boys' lack of experience at this level makes them, on paper at least, the weakest of the possible opponents despite beating Fenerbahce in Istanbul to secure their place in the hat.[LNB]The other seeded teams whom Tottenham will not face are Seville, Werder Bremen, Zenit St Petersburg and Ajax.[LNB]UEFA will also hold the draw for the Europa League play-offs tomorrow, with Liverpool likely to join Manchester City and Aston Villa as seeded teams in the hat.[LNB]If Motherwell can overcome Aalesund of Norway, they could also be in the draw alongside Celtic and Dundee United, but Hibernian's hopes of overturning a 3-0 deficit to Slovenian side Maribor look bleak.
