Spurs trio miss City clash

Tottenham have a trio of injury absentees for the opening Premier League game at home against Manchester City on Saturday (12:45pm).[LNB] David Bentley (ankle), Jamie O'Hara (back) and Jonathan Woodgate (groin) are all definitely out, Danny Rose (thigh strain) is doubtful but manager Harry Redknapp is hopeful that Ledley King will be fit to start, providing his suspect knee suffered no reaction to today's training session.[LNB]King will not play in the Champions League on Tuesday night against Young Boys because of the Swiss champions' astroturf pitch. Bentley is set to resume training on Monday after suffering his ankle injury in Tottenham's first pre-season friendly at Bournemouth.[LNB]Spurs (from): Gomes, Cudicini, Hutton, Bale, Kaboul, Naughton, Bassong, Dawson, King, Corluka, Assou-Ekotto, Walker, Huddlestone, Lennon, Jenas, Palacios, Modric, Kranjcar, Pavlyuchenko, Keane, Crouch, Dos Santos, Defoe.[LNB]
