Spurs target Podolski as permanent move for Adebayor looks unlikely

Tottenham are considering their options with regards to Emmanuel Adebayor.

It seems unlikely that a permanent move to London will happen now as the white hart lane outfit has been put off by the £17 million pound asking price for the Togo man and are now looking at German international Lukas Podolski.

The move hinges on whether spurs can get the Manchester club to lower its asking price for the front man whom they paid £25 million for in 2009, that coupled with the £140,000 a week wages he currently takes, makes the situation all the more unlikely.

A similar fee is expected for Podolski but his wage demands would be considerable less making a bid for the German all the more inevitable.
