Spurs target Luis Fabiano fed up with warming the bench at Sevilla

Luis Fabiano has sparked renewed doubts about his Sevilla future by voicing his frustration at sitting on the bench and admitting he was happy to leave the club this summer. [LNB]The Brazil striker signed a new contract in the closing hours of the summer transfer window after the Spanish side showed their determination to keep him by asking a prohibitive £25million. [LNB]However, Sevilla have failed to make the Champions League group stages and Fabiano has played just 14 minutes of their opening two Spanish League games. 'With all due respect, I am not used to it.' [LNB]Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp admitted he was keen on Fabiano but put off by the price tag in the summer, while Marseille went a step further and tentatively agreed terms with him only to be knocked back by Sevilla. [LNB]Despite voicing his commitment to Sevilla when signing a new contract through to 2013, Fabiano now admits he would have been happy to move to France this summer. [LNB]'I was honoured to have been approached by Marseille,' he told L'Equipe. 'I left the two clubs to negotiate and find common ground. [LNB]'That's normal. Sevilla had to accept Marseille's offer. I spoke to my bosses to tell them I was OK to go there, but I didn't force it. I preferred to stay focused on my job.
