Michael Dawson's return from a knee injury was hit by the big freeze on Tuesday after his comeback game against Charlton was postponed.

The defender has missed the last three months and was due to step up his recovery, with a view to being fit for the weekend clash against Birmingham, in the training ground friendly.

Manager Harry Redknapp was desperate for Dawson to play as he only has two fit centre-backs in William Gallas and Sebastien Bassong.
